Kitchen Feature: East End Kitchens @ 4th Street Market

Rachael Miller

Located in Santa Ana, California, East End Incubator Kitchens is part of 4th Street Market’s 10-fully equipped, commercial kitchen spaces. With a tagline of “Helping you become America’s next food entrepreneur!” – their mission is clear. So much more than a standard commercial kitchen, their foodpreneur clients earn the opportunity to showcase and test market their products in Alta Baja Market, which sells local specialty food and beverages. To further help ensure foodpreneurs succeed, East End Kitchens has partnered with Food Centricity, a business accelerator focused solely to assist artisans in successfully entering into the extremely competitive sales arena.  This kitchen really does focus on the entire idea-to-launch process!

Key kitchen features include:

  • Dry storage
  • Cold & freezer storage
  • Special events
  • Food business consulting

Specialty services: They also have 2 kitchen spaces dedicated for gluten-free production as well as 1 temperature-controlled confectionary kitchen.

Rental rates vary widely, depending on food entrepreneur size and needs. They even offer a 20% discount to regular monthly users, who also receive priority scheduling.

East End Incubator Kitchens has several kitchen and product videos on their Facebook page, here’s one that gave us some serious food envy:

Bonus info – 4th Street Market is also home to FoodBeast Kitchen & Studio. It’s a “a multi-functional space designed for a range of activities from book signings to cooking classes and demos to photography and filming. The Studio Kitchen seats 36 and can be sectioned off for some privacy.” Want to learn more – check out their (slightly tongue-in-cheek) series Jeff’s Table: a documentary series that elegantly looks at food from the eyes of an average person.
