Shared Kitchen News

Bakers Hub gets baking

We love shared kitchens with a focus and we love baked goods. The Bakers Hub in St. Louis will provide bakers with everything they need, like commercial ovens and dough mixers, as well as a storefront to sell their products. Delicious.

Community kitchen teaches skills

Most churches have commercial grade kitchens that are perfect for food entrepreneurs looking to start tinkering. This amazing program by St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities has installed a learning kitchen to help local women gain the skills they need to work in food. A great way of using excess capacity for good!

Fairgrounds kitchen gets a makeover

Another common place in your community with an underutilized commercial kitchen is the local fairground. This fairground in Island County just secured a grant to overhaul their kitchen. Their economic development agency sees this as a win/win for the community. And we agree.

Food hall

Our friends at La Cocina in San Francisco officially signed a lease for their food hall. Executive Director, Caleb Zigas, is taking care to make sure the space is accessible to the clients they serve and providing a new platform for the amazing food they create.
