NICK Members: Meet us in Pensacola

We’ve missed our community! That’s why we’re organizing a NICK Regional Meetup in Pensacola, Florida, October 22-23, 2022. We’ve surveyed NICK members to determine how to best serve the needs of the community. Here’s what we’ve cooked up!

What’s planned

We wanted to create an opportunity to bring The NICK to life. The meetup will be held before the 2022 National Agricultural Marketing Summit: Growing Our Communities Together. You’ll have the opportunity to network with fellow shared kitchen owners and operators from the region. Topics will include marketing, onboarding and member management, kitchen organization, policy creation and enforcement, community engagement, financial operations and pricing, and more!

The Meetup is exclusively for NICK members. Registration includes:

  • A Happy Hour Networking Event – Saturday, Oct 22 (5pm – 7pm)
  • Speaker session, panel, Q&A –  Sunday, Oct 23 (8am -12pm)
  • Pensacola Cooks Kitchen Incubator Tour – Sunday, Oct 23 (2pm – 5pm)

Why you should attend

If you’re looking to expand your shared kitchen palette, this meetup is the perfect opportunity! In addition to networking opportunities with other shared kitchen owners and operators, you’ll have the chance to meet other industry professionals as well! Learn what others are doing and how you can manage your kitchen more efficiently and creatively.

Interested in spearheading a farmers market at your facility? What about building relationships with local growers? While in Pensacola, we encourage you to attend the National AgSummit, which will feature resources to assist market managers, direct marketing farmers and food businesses, agribusinesses with value-added products, and more!

You’ll have the chance to meet farmers, academics, entrepreneurs, service providers, mission-focused investors, business operators, community practitioners, students, consultants, and government employees from state and Federal agencies. The team at The Food Corridor will be hosting our own session, “Fostering Food Entrepreneurship: Connections between Incubator Kitchens and Farmers Markets” at the conference within the Marketing and Business Innovation track. We’d love to see you there and continue the conversation in person!
